The Study Gene Christmas Gift Guide 2020 |Independent Businesses Only

I am so excited to share with you my very first Christmas gift guide! I have a mix of gift ideas to suit every budget so there is something for everyone. This gift guide is aimed specifically for students to help make studying that bit more interesting and special and to make 2020 a bit more colourful! Also, I have only included products from Independent businesses, because if 2020 has shown us anything, it is that supporting small and independent businesses is important and not done enough and something I am trying to do much more of. This year, all of my Christmas presents will be bought from small, local or independent businesses.

With that said, let’s get on with the gift guide. Enjoy!

Scented with oud, saffron, rose, jasmine, white sandalwood and musky amber, the wax lyrical candle takes an elegant spin on the traditional Christmas scent and was inspired by the companies home in the Lake District, which is my favourite place in the world. Everything Amber makes is Vegan! She has a 5 star food hygiene rating and she made my birthday cupcakes during the first lock down and they were incredible! She even added in a free birthday brownie for me and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. That brings me to the end of my 2020 Christmas gift guide! I hope it gave you some inspiration or ideas for possible gifts and showed you some of the amazing things on offer from smaller, independent businesses!

When you support an independent business, you are supporting a dream. You keep more money in your local economy, encourage community and invest in entrepreneurship. We can all agree that 2020 needs a bit more of this as it has been a difficult year, with smaller businesses hit hardest. This year when you buy gifts, please try and look at local options first.

Happy Christmas Shopping! Love Beth xox
