Today I am collaborating with Kawaii Box, to show you their amazing monthly subscription box, filled with cute things from Japan! Each box has a different theme and contains adorable stationery, snacks, plushies, stickers and more. I will also be giving away a box at the end of this post! Keep reading to find out how you can win one.
Packaging and price
The Kawaii monthly box is beautifully packaged in a strong cardboard box, covered in gorgeous pink doodles and writing. It is pretty hard to miss when it arrives at the door! As expected, it looks really cute and colourful.
On opening the box, everything is wrapped in pink tissue paper in the same pattern as the box with a leaflet on top to show you the theme and contents. I have the August 2020 box, which is the Pika Pika Star Festival theme.
The price of the box will vary depending on which subscription you go for. On the website, it shows three plans which are as follows:
Monthly Plan: 8-10 items a month, US/$ 24.90 a month, free shipping worldwide, reoccurring every month and cancel at any point.
6 Month Plan: 8-10 items a month, US/$ 21.90 a month, free shipping worldwide, reoccurring every month and ends after 6 months.
12 Month Plan: 8-10 items a month, US/$ 19.90 a month, free shipping worldwide, reoccuring every month and ends after 12 months.
This means that you can sign up for a subscription, or you can sign up for the monthly plan and pay a bit more, but if its not for you, you can cancel and not be tied in to paying for any more boxes which I think is a great option if you want to give it a go! If you post a picture of your box on Instagram with the hashtag #KAWAIIBOX, you will be entered to win a Kawaii Megabox valued at over US/$ 100.
Each box contains 8-10 items. Mine included:
- Sanrio Character Lucky Plushy
- Japanese Candy Bar Eraser
- Twinkle Star Pen
- Sumikko Gurashi Drawstring Pouch
- Sweet Donut Hair Tye Set
- Puka Puka Salty Watermelon Taiyaki Wafer
- Kawaii Sticker Flakes
- Summer Party Miniature Notebook
Everything was of really lovely quality and lived up to the pictures I saw online. Opening this box was so much fun, reading through the leaflet and having a look at all of the individual items. My favourite items would have to be the Twinkle Star Pen and the Hello Kitty Sanrio Plushie as it reminded me so much of my childhood years, obsessed with Hello Kitty! I am going to attach it proudly to my house keys! Moving forward, I might even consider signing up for my own subscription to Kawaii Box!
Some of the items were actually very practical. A lovely bonus was the drawstring pouch, as you could use it to carry stationery, snacks or personal items in your school or university bag and there was also an adorable and incredibly amazing smelling wafer snack which would be perfect for on the go or a treat.
Also, I am also going to really enjoy using the Kawaii stickers to decorate my planner and make it look a bit more interesting!
