Hello! Welcome to The Study Gene.
Hello and thank you for stopping by my website! My name is Beth, I am 24 years old and I am the creator behind The Study Gene, a blog that I founded from my desk in Buckinghamshire, England in the UK. I am currently halfway through my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree, which I am studying with the Open University part time, and am due to graduate in 2023! I am aiming to study graduate medicine, but I am certainly keeping my options open and seeing where life takes me!
What is The Study Gene?
The Study Gene is a student lifestyle, study tips and advice blog, designed to help you use education to your advantage to achieve your goals and work smarter, not harder. It is a place for students of all ages, to find some inspiration and motivation to get you through your personal study journey and be successful.
As a student myself, it is also a place where I share my own study journey and experience as a distance learning student. If you want to learn more about what I am studying and how distance learning works, click here.
I’ve been through many forms of education myself, from sitting my GCSE’s, stumbling through my A-Levels, a two year stint at a traditional brick University full time, NVQ’s, Apprenticeships, Functional Skills and my current degree via distance learning! Alongside this, I have also worked full time in different areas of education including primary, special educational needs, university and even offender learning in prison! I have picked up a lot of skills along the way, so I created The Study Gene to share these with you!
I believe in a holistic approach to learning and that there is no “one size fits all” method that works. We all have our own unique learning style and my aim is to help you find the one that works best for you. Most importantly, I want you to enjoy your study journey. I hope you enjoy your visit and please do check out my other social media channels for more content and to see what i get up to!
